Are you passionate about climate action and looking for a meaningful way to invest in your community? The Collingwood Climate Action Team (CCAT) is inviting new members to join our Board of Directors.
For the past six years, CCAT has been working with local communities to:

Board Member Role Description
Term
3 or 4 years, renewable term

Time Commitment
Approximately 6-10 hours per month
Location
South Georgian Bay Region (hybrid participation may be considered)
The Role
We are seeking community-minded individuals to join our working Board of Directors. This is more than a governance position—it’s an opportunity to take direct action in support of climate solutions and community resilience.
Board members contribute to strategic decision-making and provide operational support. In addition to attending monthly board meetings, members actively participate in committee work, special projects, and outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in and prepare for monthly board meetings

Support the development and implementation of CCAT’s strategic goals

Collaborate with fellow board members, staff, and community partners
-
Lead or support events, fundraising activities, and special initiatives
-
Ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to charitable governance practices

Act as an ambassador for CCAT in the broader community
Ideal Qualifications
We’re looking for individuals who are:

Passionate about sustainability, equity, and climate action
-
Experienced in nonprofit governance, community leadership, or organizing

Willing to contribute time, energy, and expertise to a small, mission-driven team

Strong communicators with a collaborative mindset

Comfortable with hands-on involvement and problem-solving
