Intuitive Watercolour Painting Workshop

As part of the current Art Show at the Simcoe Street Theatre, local artist Chris Marin will offer an Intuitive Watercolour Painting Workshop. This will be a fun, relaxed workshop where you will pour two paintings using primary colours, letting the colours run together. Then, with the addition of stretch wrap, waxed paper and maybe a little salt or rubbing alcohol, interesting shapes emerge. There is no right or wrong way to do it, and you will have no control over the results - something amazing happens! You will take your paintings home to dry where all will be revealed. During the initial workshop you will be shown how to look for  images in the dried paintings, how to outline them, and then paint in the backgrounds to make the shapes pop forward. You will be amazed by what you find – animals, faces, plants, buildings, symbols – all personal to you.…
