About the event

There is so much we can do together! The feedback we received from our Stronger Together event in March was that you wanted more. Join us for facilitated conversations on "Heat, Fleet, Meat" and Advocacy.  You will spend 20 minutes at each table, with an organized rotation so you will not miss any of the topics or programs we are discussing. Time for input, questions and discussion is included.

  • HEAT - Heat pumps information, home tours, information on grants, and more
  • FLEET -  How you can increase active transportation, what are we and the town doing, our upcoming bike month event in June and more
  • MEAT - How you can make a difference with your day-to-day habits and choices around food, changing perspectives on food and more
  • Advocacy - Furthering the relationship with our town council/town staff, become more involved, how you can act

Building our resilient community and lowering our communities carbon footprint can only be achieved when we work together.

The Collingwood Climate Action Team is based on the traditional territory of the Haundenosaunee and Anishinabek peoples and, specifically, unceded Saugeen Ojibway territory. Our ancestors established a treaty relationship and responsibility with the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation and Saugeen First Nation, collectively the Saugeen Ojibway Nation (SON) - which we strive to uphold today. We are thankful for the opportunity to benefit from the continuing protection and stewardship of the land, air and waters by Indigenous Peoples who have protected them for thousands of years. This area we now call home is also home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples with whom we wish to work together towards truth and reconciliation.
